Job Duties

Operating Switchboard or Telephone System: You will operate the switchboard or telephone system to connect clients and the public with the appropriate contacts or service areas.

Recording and Relaying Information: You will be responsible for recording and relaying information to clients and the public. This may include taking messages or scheduling appointments.

Scheduling and Confirming Appointments: You will schedule and confirm appointments for clients. You will ensure that meetings are planned in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintaining Work Records and Logs: You will maintain work records and logs to ensure that clients and the public receive efficient and accurate service.

Answering Telephone and Relaying Telephone Calls and Messages: You will answer the telephone and relay telephone calls and messages to the appropriate contacts or service areas.

Monitoring Mobile Radio or Telephone: You will monitor mobile radio or telephone to ensure that clients and the public receive efficient and effective service.

Providing Directory Assistance: You will provide directory assistance to clients and the public.

Providing Emergency Services: In an emergency, you will provide emergency services to clients and the public.

Relay Service to Persons with Disabilities: You will provide relay service to persons with disabilities to ensure they receive efficient and effective service.
