  • Annual Salary: $34,000
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Commission: Earn a fantastic 25% commission per sale
  • Minimum Wage is guaranteed


  1. Investigate New Travel Areas: As a Travel Specialist at Manitoba Inc, you’ll be responsible for researching and exploring new travel destinations, hotels, and other amenities. Your goal will be to stay up-to-date with the latest trends, ensuring that we offer our customers the best possible travel experiences.
  2. Customer Management: Handling challenging situations with customers is an essential part of this role. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will come into play as you address customer concerns and find suitable solutions, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their travel journey.
  3. General Office Duties: In addition to your customer-facing responsibilities, you will also perform general office duties. This may include administrative tasks, document management, and maintaining accurate records.
  4. Sales and Insurance: As a Travel Specialist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your sales expertise by promoting and selling our travel products and travel insurance packages. Your ability to highlight the value of our offerings and tailor them to customers’ needs will contribute to our success.
  5. Provide Travel Information: Sharing relevant and timely travel information is vital in assisting our customers. You will be responsible for providing them with comprehensive details about regulations, duty-free allowances, health risks, attractions, special events, and any other pertinent information that enhances their travel experience.
  6. Financial Transactions: Handling financial transactions is part of your role. You will calculate costs, process refunds, attend to cancellations and schedule changes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.
  7. Reservation and Ticketing: Utilizing computerized reservation and ticketing systems, you will make transportation and accommodation reservations for our customers. Your expertise in these systems will ensure smooth and seamless bookings.
  8. Travel Recommendations: Drawing on your knowledge of destinations, transportation, accommodation options, and travel costs, you will provide personalized travel recommendations to our clients. Your insights and recommendations will assist customers in making informed decisions and creating memorable travel experiences.


  1. Languages: Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with customers and colleagues.
  2. Education: A high school graduation certificate is required for this position.
  3. Experience: A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the travel industry is preferred. Your past experience in delivering exceptional customer service and sales will be highly valued.
  4. Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office is necessary for managing documentation and performing office tasks. Familiarity with travel booking systems is also desirable.
  5. Personal Suitability: To thrive in this role, you should possess excellent interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing. Client focus, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organization, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a team are also crucial attributes.
  6. Security and Safety: Being bondable is a requirement for this position.
  7. Transportation/Travel Information: You should be willing to travel, including cross-border travel and overnight stays.
  8. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The ability to work under tight deadlines and pay meticulous attention to detail, even under pressure, is essential.
